When there is so much in this world that we can’t control, how about we focus on the things we can control.
If you are a business owner or manager, here are a couple of easy things you can do to get some of your marketing ducks in a row:
1. Are all your proof pieces up to date? Such as your CVs, case studies, client testimonials. This is a great time to pull this information together. It generally falls off the to do list until such time as you have to pull a quote or tender together. Divide and conquer and get your team engaged in getting everything up to date. This will keep them busy and if you need a hand, we can help you make it happen.
2. Run a marketing or tender audit to get a clear picture of what’s working or not working in some cases. Hindsight is always great but how many people have been caught out in the last couple of weeks thinking that their workforce would never have to work from home. What areas can you protect now?
3. Do you have your digital ducks in a row? If you’re not online, you need to get online. If you are online, is your site optimised? Do you have a digital plan? Maybe book in a review of your current website or social media channels.
4. Just to say. Whether it’s your suppliers, contractors, clients or colleagues, ask them how they are doing and what they need. That conversation might spark a bright idea or help them to sanity check something.
The main point is, don’t just think there’s nothing you can do. Keep an eye on the long term and opportunity will be there for those that keep a level head.
And keep in touch – we are here if you need to chat.
