For more than 40 years, the QTAC brand has been synonymous with education in Queensland. As the state’s largest tertiary admission service provider, the organisation manages over 70,000 placements and 200,000 enquiries a year. In the same period, the QTAC web portal attracts 400,000 unique users and 2 million course searches.

Focused Marketing was appointed to direct QTAC’s brand identity as it transitioned from a non-competitive to competitive marketplace. This substantial cultural shift required careful management, as well as a suite of high impact marketing efforts to increase awareness and build brand equity.

Recent projects have included print and digital campaigns, a series of promotional videos and UX consultancy for a ground breaking mobile application.

Focused Marketing is now full time custodian of the QTAC brand, protecting against the dangers of inconsistency while delivering powerful messaging across a wide range of communication channels.


In 2020, Queensland’s education system will transition from OP to ATAR, changing the way students apply for tertiary courses. We created this animated video to help QTAC explain the new rules to students, parents and teachers.

Love you Life

Love you Life is a series of 12 short videos we’re creating for QTAC. They feature former students of Queensland universities who have gone on to lead lives that are interesting and sometimes surprising. Focused Marketing’s role is to identify potential interviewees, script questions, manage shoots and edit footage into short, engaging packages.

Teacher entry

QTAC has been leading a campaign that encourages Queensland students to pursue a career in teaching. We made this video to show how easy it is to apply, even with the new requirement to include a 1000 word statement in applications.
