Kerri launched Focused Marketing in 2006. Prior to that she spent eight years working as a highly successful tender writer and marketing specialist in London and Sydney.

Kerri’s ability to get inside the mind of a business has seen her win contracts with some of the largest companies in Australia. That’s because her processes are strategic, highly organised and distinctly ‘outside-the-box’.

Kerri is a member of the Corporate Institute of Marketing and the Australian Marketing Institute and is better at relationship building than E-Harmony.

She is also a wizard at rounding up creative and slightly eccentric marketing professionals, who she manages with a carrot shaped stick and a lot of encouragement.

Kerri has a not so secret obsession with interior design and is super passionate about the environment.

Kristie is a strategic marketing director with over 20 years’ experience in marketing, business development, branding, bids and tenders and communication strategies. Her expertise is in developing and implementing effective holistic marketing campaigns that drive business growth, client loyalty and staff engagement across a range of industry sectors, in particular professional services, non-profit and creative industries.

Kristie has developed all main components of marketing – from establishing the marketing function, building the brand, media and advertising campaigns, profiling raising programs (through sponsorships and strategic partnerships) to client relationship management programs. Along the way, she has developed organisations’ internal capabilities (people and systems), to ensure marketing can be applied by everyone, not just a core few in a central group.

Kristie believes that no marketing, brand, communications or digital strategy can work or exist without a defined business strategy. She has previously worked with leadership teams to help articulate the vision, supported by measurable objectives that can be actioned across marketing, brand, clients and communications. Degree qualified in law she is also focused on ensuring that any marketing and business development efforts improve a business’ financial position.

Kristie enjoys engaging in lively debate, loves logic, focuses on achieving results, takes the risks and gives the credit, puts her energy and effort into what counts most and believes passionately that humour is your best friend.

Kristie has a very public passion for theatre and is well known for bringing others along for the ride.

Casey specialises in digital communications, including internal and external company communications, marketing campaigns, copywriting, media relations and creating website content for businesses to break through the online noise. An experienced journalist and editor for both digital and print publications, Casey can write just about anything, for any audience or medium. She has worked with clients from a broad range of sectors, including professional services, publishing, not for profit, agribusiness, SMEs and telecommunications.

Degree qualified in communications and journalism, Casey is a lifelong learner and has undertaken further studies in writing for the web, copywriting, and creative writing.

Casey loves good food, books and miserable rainy days.

Emily is our multi-disciplined Senior Designer & Art Director. She is comfortable working on anything from brand strategy, logo development, advertising and brochures through to landing pages, emails and social media.

Emily has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients such as ASOS, The Body Shop, UGG, Ted Baker, the RAF, Six Senses, Moonpig, REISS, Hotel Chocolat, Gina Bacconi, Auchentoshan, Fuller’s, ISG, CBRE, Sorores and PepsiCo to name a few. She believes brands need strong visual communication to succeed and loves thinking outside of the box to make this happen.

Major Players named Emily the best Freelancer in the UK in 2016 and shortlisted her for the same award in 2017. She is now living and working back in Brisbane, Australia and ready for the next part of her career.

Nikai has a solid educational foundation and strong passion for design. With over 10 years’ experience in graphic design, she has worked alongside not for profits, large organisations, retail businesses and property developers. Her strengths lie in logo design, brand development and creating smart, provocative and conceptual work across both print and digital media.

Nikai started her career in IT and software design and while she creatively loves to think outside of the box, she is also adamant about organization and consistency. Nikai joined the Focused Marketing team to combine her skills in product strategy, service design, user experience and product design.

Nikai is our in-house snack lady and doesn’t let a day go by without providing afternoon tea to the team!

Dianne is a journalist and public relations professional with 30 years’ experience in media management and communications. She has held senior positions within the public and private sectors as well as the not-for-profit sector and has worked with a broad range of industry groups including professional services, mining and resources, agriculture, engineering and technical, building and construction, vocational education and the tertiary education/university sector.

Her high-level written and inter-personal communication skills are matched with an ability to think strategically, understand the audience and interpret and relate highly technical or complex material into plain-English.

Di believes you are never too old to learn new tricks, which is why she is taking up polo (and praying she doesn’t come off her horse – again – as she doesn’t bounce like she used to)!

Spencer assists us in writing reports, blogs and EDMs. As well as being a social media guru, he is the key support person for our Director of Strategic Marketing. Spencer graduated from QUT in 2016 with two bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Media & Communication.

Before coming to Focused Marketing, in his final year at university, Spencer worked as a social media strategy advisor for a Queensland state MP. In the same year, Spencer also co-founded an event management business in the live music industry with a fellow QUT student.
He learned how to run a profitable, growing business, and developed skills in advertising, design, and radio presentation. Spencer started booking local bands at one Brisbane venue and now handles local, interstate and overseas musicians and comedians at multiple venues in Brisbane and in Canada.

Spencer loves to travel around Australia and Canada. Cycling, hiking and skiing are among his favourite outdoor activities. He plays the acoustic guitar and enjoys seeing live bands play on weekends.

Kasey can make anything happen. As our all-round admin guru with over eight years experience, she ensures our office runs smoothly and she can create magic at a moments notice.

This magic often comes from her unique combination of creative flair and a passion for all things formatting and consistency related. She genuinely enjoys creating ‘Policies and Procedures’ documents. Crazy…we know!

On the days she is not in the office, Kasey is a digital artist and fabric designer! She is also a self-published author and illustrator with several books to her name.
